Parent Peers

The objective of the Parent Peer program is to offer support and advocacy resources to parents. This includes concrete services, such as budgeting, parent education, development of communication skills and community awareness, as well as a parenting group and a grandparents group. Parent Peers are parents who have experienced emotional/behavioral problems with a child of their own. The first-hand experience facilitates the trust and partnership with parents. Parent Peers work with families an average of 6-12 months.
